What an incredible week we have ahead! Here in Hong Kong we get two VERY high-energy days in a row to start the week: The Full Moon on Monday and the Summer Solstice on Tuesday. We also experience a day of “Master Energy” later in the week as well as other days of high-energy. With every day this week being filled with either strong or very strong energy, it is very important to stay grounded and focused and take action in the areas mentioned in detail in the forecast below. Otherwise, you will likely find yourself feeling agitated, “blocked” or “all over the place”. Staying grounded will assist you greatly in making the most of the fantastic energy this week. If you are a Reiki (or other healing energy) practitioner, take time every morning to apply energy to the first chakra, legs and soles of feet. Tai Chi and Qigong are also very effective grounding practises. Monday June 20th the week begins with a day of VERY high-energy as we experience the Full Moon in Sagittarius. The time of any Full Moon is one in which it is good to reflect upon what we have accomplished since the previous Full Moon and what changes or adjustments we can make in order to walk more fully upon our chosen paths. The influence of Sagittarius places additional emphasis on the areas of philosophy, life purpose, enthusiasm, joy, learning and teaching.
Are there important lessons that you need to learn or teach (especially in the areas of philosophy, spirituality and life-path)? Are you experiencing lots of enthusiasm and joy in your life? Are you open to learning and experiencing new things? The answers to these questions can assist you in making the necessary changes/adjustments that will enrich these areas of your life. To more fully connect with the energy today, it’s a good idea to practise a Full Moon meditation. You can do your own or choose to meditate on the points mentioned above or all you have to be grateful for in your life. You can also do a Full Moon meditation in the following ways:
Sit quietly and comfortably, with the hands resting on the knees (palms facing up), breathing deeply and evenly, whilst contemplating the Moon. Imagine that with every in-breath, your up-turned hands draw in a bright, silvery light from the Moon. See the light enter your hands, travel up to your shoulders, and then to the centre of the chest (where it collects in the heart chakra). This light at the centre of the chest then spreads throughout your body. Continue breathing in the light, spreading it through your body, for as long as it feels right for you. (When you exhale, just allow the breath to leave the body). When you feel/visualise that your entire body is filled with this silvery light, you can then try expanding this light throughout your aura, and beyond.
If you are a Reiki 2 (or above) practitioner, you can sit quietly with the Moon in view (ideally outdoors) and send Reiki to it. Sit quietly and comfortably, prepare your hands for sending Reiki, and draw your 3 Reiki symbols over the Moon. You would then use the Reiki 2 technique of ‘Beaming’, with the hands ‘aimed’ at the Moon (or use any other method of sending Reiki that you prefer, such as using a photo). In this way, you can tap directly into these lunar energies. It’s also a great idea to get together with friends to experience the special energy. You can do a group meditation, or even just enjoy an evening meal ‘al fresco’. Appreciate the Moon, and feel a sense of gratitude for the beauty of nature, and the love from those around us.
Furthermore, bear in mind that there will be an additional “boost” of energy in releasing old attachments and habits (especially that which is uncomfortable to face!). Healing is also strongly supported, so try to take time for a full energy-healing session (Reiki or other healing energy), as much can be released and healed today.
Additionally, there are wonderful opportunities to bring balance to significant relationships (romantic or otherwise). It’s time for open communication from the heart, on both sides, in order to strengthen relationships. Are you fulfilled in your relationships? Can you express yourself openly and without fear of judgement? Do your support each other and take joy in one another’s success and strengths? The answers to these questions can assist both parties in strengthening and enriching the relationship.
Tuesday June 21st is a VERY high-energy when we experience the Summer Solstice! Please note that the energy and themes of this day will continue over the next month. These themes include working with the deeper levels of consciousness, personal and financial security, home, nurturing and your inner circle (family, close friends etc). By consciously working with this energy, you will be better able to create a state of stability and balance in the different areas of your life mentioned above. You can do this by creating positive affirmations which you can repeat every day (while focusing on them) and also by visualising each of your goals in their completed forms and using as many of your senses as possible.
There are various opinions in the spiritual world as to why the Summer Solstice is so energetically significant. However, all agree that the Solstice present us with a unique opportunity to make a ‘jump’ in consciousness. Many cultures since ancient times have placed a special significance on the Solstices as a time when we are especially receptive to raising our energetic vibrations and achieving much in our spiritual practise. In order to do this, one must consciously work with the energy through meditation, visualisation, intention, and/or energy work (Reiki etc.).
Whatever you decide to do, it’s best to practise outdoors, weather permitting. You can do this alone, or with a group (enjoy celebrating the Solstice with friends!). Begin by sitting quietly, breathing deeply and evenly, feeling yourself relax with every breath (for energy-workers, place the hands over the heart chakra, on the abdomen). For this meditation, your intention is important, so be clear about what it is you would like to do. State your intention clearly in your head. Examples could be: “I now open myself to receive the energies of the Solstice”, or “I now open myself to receive the energies that raise my energetic vibration” etc., or whatever feels right for you!
After stating your intention, imagine that with every in-breath, a white light enters the top of your head (your Crown chakra), and travels down to your Heart chakra (in the centre of your chest). When you exhale, simply allow the breath to leave your body. Remember, this white light is the energy that you called in with your intent. Continue to breathe in the white light to your Heart chakra, seeing it glowing and growing with a brilliant light. When you feel that your Heart chakra is completely filled with this white light, intend/visualise that with every in-breath you continue to breath the white light into your Heart, and with every out-breath, your Heart chakra expands… this ball of white light continues to grow, encompassing your entire body…. continue to breath in, and then expand this light. You can enjoy this state of being, or, if you like, you can expand this light further… to encompass all around you. Remain in this state for as long you like… but take your time with this one, it’s very special!
If you would like to combine mental exercises along with spiritual/energetic exercises, you can use the time of the Solstice to re-assess your life. Look at what you have achieved since the beginning of the year, what direction your life has taken over the past six months, and what actions you can take to create the life that you would like to be living. The ‘old way’ of doing things just doesn’t work anymore, and in order to be in harmony we must open ourselves to letting go and making changes.
During times of accelerating energy and awareness, we either take action, or stagnate. Remember that chaos is always part of new creation, so when it’s time to change, sometimes we just need to take a deep breath… trust… and go for it! The changing/re-organisation of energy fields creates incredibly unexpected new things in your life. So embrace the changes, go with it, consciously let go of the “old”. At this time, I strongly advise you to review all of the spiritual tools that you’ve already gathered, feel solid in your spiritual practises, and USE these tools. Remember to sit in meditation and accept this joyful energy…. and enjoy!
Wednesday June 22nd is a high-energy day when we will still be feeling some of the effects of the Summer Solstice yesterday, plus there will be lots of energy flowing in the areas of creativity, personal expression and communication. This energy can also have the effect of making one more talkative than usual, so in order to avoid this make sure to listen when others are speaking and allow them the time and space to express themselves, too.
Thursday June 23rd is a high-energy day that is all about increasing the flow of abundance in your life, gaining insights into old issues/hurts and releasing old ways of thinking/doing so that you can move forward in life with positive power. You can assist the process of increasing abundance by setting aside 10-15 minutes to visualise your goals (in their completed forms) in this area. Remember to try to use as many of your senses as possible as well as your intention. If you would like to work on gaining insights, you can set this intention before you begin a meditation on this area of your life. Keep a notebook handy so that you can write down your ideas and insights during this process. If you are a Reiki 2 (or above) practitioner, it’s a great day to work on abundance affirmations.
Friday June 24th is a high-energy day that carries many of the themes we experienced on Monday, so I’ll repeat the information here. This energy is very supportive in releasing old attachments and habits (especially the “uncomfortable truth” ones). Healing is also strongly supported, so try to take time for a full energy-healing session (Reiki or other healing energy), as much can be released and healed today. There are also wonderful opportunities to bring balance to significant relationships (romantic or otherwise). It’s time for open communication from the heart, on both sides, in order to strengthen relationships. Are you fulfilled in your relationships? Can you express yourself openly and without fear of judgement? Do your support each other and take joy in one another’s success and strengths? Saturday June 25th is a day of powerful, active energy. According to numerology this day has special energetic significance because the numbers of today’s date add up to the “Master Number” of 22 (2+5+6+2+0+1+6= 22). “22” is known as the “Master Builder”, so today is ideal for starting new projects and furthering work on existing projects and goals (building your future). This is a day to take action, so make the most of it! It’s also a great day to work on manifesting your goals, so ensure that you set aside some time to sit quietly and visualise each of your goals in their completed forms. To make this exercise more effective, try to use as many of your senses as possible (feel, smell, hear… and most of all, intend) when you visualise. If you are a Reiki 2 (or above) practitioner, it’s an especially powerful day to work on your Reiki affirmations. Additionally, there is a significant boost in the areas of physical vitality (increasing your energy levels) and bringing harmony and joy to family/significant relationships.
Sunday June 26th we finish this very active week with a high-energy day that is focused on abundance, prosperity and personal/spiritual transformation. You can make the most of this energy by taking time (as with yesterday) to visualise any goals you have in these areas in their completed forms. The intuition is also very strong today, so pay attention to your “gut instinct” and take time for meditation, even just a few minutes, so that you are better able to receive guidance and insight today. However, be aware that relationship issues can also be highlighted today. If you find this to be the case, it’s time for open communication and making sure that both parties listen to one another. If you are feeling “wounded”, it’s a good idea to meditate on why this is so and what issues need to be healed in order to release this.
