This week we get an excellent start to the Lunar New Year with the start of a 10-day cycle of energy focused on increasing the flow of abundance and prosperity, as well as supporting deep emotional healing. There is great potential in the energy available as long as you harness it to your advantage, so please read on to find out how to do so:

Monday February 19th we begin the week a high-energy day that is the start of a special cycle of energy that lasts from today until the end of the month. Over the next 10 days, the focus is on abundance, prosperity and healing old emotional wounds. To make the best use of this energy for increasing prosperity and abundance, you can do the following:

Have clear goals and strategies for increasing prosperity, and take steps now towards reaching those goals (even if those steps are small!). Reflect upon how you see yourself in relation to abundance and prosperity: remember that when our energy is strong and positive, we tend to attract abundance! Do you see yourself as someone who easily attracts what you need, or do you see yourself as someone who is lacking while “other people” seem to get what they want? Do you feel undeserving or have past experiences made you feel like everything is a struggle? Practise daily visualisations using your intention and as many of your senses as possible… truly see and feel yourself as someone who easily attracts abundance. It can be helpful to repeat a positive statement like a mantra, something along the lines of “I now attract great abundance and prosperity. It flows into my life easily and I am able to share it with others”. It is very important to be consistent with any visualisations (this includes work with the Law of Attraction). If you are a Reiki 2 (or above) practitioner, it is a fantastic time to work on any Reiki affirmations relating to prosperity and abundance every day, especially over the next 10 days.

Regarding healing, it’s a very supportive time to work on resolving and releasing any old emotional wounds, especially those that may get “triggered” or pushed to the surface during this time. Very often we are conditioned by these old emotional traumas, causing the same situations to repeat themselves. Recognise that you have the choice to either let these experiences define you and hold you back, or to learn the lessons and move forward in life with lightness, freedom and gratitude. You can choose to react differently, to no longer have these “buttons” that can be pushed, but you will need to face these issues. Let go of any “victim mentality” and realise that only you are responsible for your state of well-being. Be loving, gentle and patient with yourself, as well as staying focused on your process of healing and letting go. If you are a Reiki (or other healing energy) practitioner, try to do a full treatment every day during this special energy-cycle… or consider receiving treatments from a practitioner. This is a wonderful time for healing, so make the most of this opportunity!

 

Tuesday February 20th we will experience energy much like yesterday’s, so stay active and use the energy for your greatest benefit.

 

Wednesday February 21st we can expect a nice flow of energy in the areas of creative expression and inspiration. You may choose to use this energy by doing creative projects, but keep in mind that this inspirational energy can also be used in doing work on the inner-self.

 

Thursday February 22nd is a VERY high-energy day when we experience a peak in the 10-day cycle of energy related to abundance and prosperity. Make sure to take time to work on any visualisations concerning prosperity and abundance: sit quietly and visualise each of your goals in their completed forms. To make this exercise more effective, try to use as many of your senses as possible (feel, smell, hear… and most of all, intend) when you visualise. If you are a Reiki 2 (or above) practitioner, it’s an especially powerful day to work on your Reiki affirmations.

 

Friday February 23rd we can expect a continuation of the energy we experienced yesterday, although not at quite the same powerful level. As we have had so much strong energy this week, today it’s a good idea to “take stock” of how you’re feeling. If you’re feeling positive and motivated, it indicates that you are flowing well with the energy. If, however, you’re feeling agitated or frustrated, it’s likely that you need to “ground” yourself. If you find that you’re feeling overly-emotional or overly-sensitive, it’s likely a result of old emotional hurts being stirred up and coming to the surface. Rather than avoid these, make a conscious effort to heal and release them. The following is a self-healing technique that I have adapted from an Advanced Reiki Training method, so anyone can practise it:

1. Sit quietly and comfortably, breathing deeply and evenly as you prepare to contemplate each old or unresolved issue. You may want to work on one issue per “session” or multiple ones.

2. As you contemplate the issue, pay attention to any part(s) of the body that comes to mind.

3. Bring your attention to this area and imagine it filled with a dark fog (you may see a colour clearly, so work with that. Otherwise, imagine a dark grey fog). This “fog” is representative of the negative or stagnant energy resulting from the unresolved issue.

4. Now breathe in deeply and imagine a brilliant white mist entering your body through the top of your head and travelling to the part of the body that is filled with the grey fog.

5. As you exhale, imagine the grey fog leaving your body (you may choose to imagine breathing this out through the mouth, or intending/visualising that the grey fog is being released directly from the affected area.

6. Continue breathing in the white mist and breathing out the dark fog until you can no longer perceive/feel/imagine it (which indicates a clearing of the area).

7. Spend at least a few minutes filling the entire area with brilliant, white, light mist.

8. Acknowledge the lessons learned from the issue and give thanks.

During this exercise, I recommend placing the hands over the area that you are working on. Everyone has “chi” flowing from the hands, so this assists the healing process. If you are a Reiki (or other energy healing) practitioner, you will find that the energy flowing from the hands greatly assists this exercise.

 

Saturday February 24th is a high-energy day with the focus on abundance and prosperity, with an extra boost of energy supporting money-making activities. This energy is very active and dynamic, so put it to good use! Try to start the day with a prosperity visualisation exercise (this includes Reiki affirmations), and be receptive to new ideas and learning today, as this may be an inspirational part of the process.

 

Sunday February 25th is a very high-energy day when we experience another peak in the 10-day cycle of energy, but today’s focus is the aspect of healing. Here I’ll repeat the information regarding this: It’s a very supportive time to work on resolving and releasing any old emotional wounds, especially those that may get “triggered” or pushed to the surface during this time. Very often we are conditioned by these old emotional traumas, causing the same situations to repeat themselves.
